Today we're involved in a pandemic we've never seen in our lifetimes, but throughout history this is nothing new. On today's show we're joined by our friends at Unearthing Paranormalcy to discuss the five worst outbreaks in humanity's history. What you hear will surprise you. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Leave some toilet paper for the rest of us with chronic IBS. Thank you. I mean we know a guy.
You can find them on Stitcher, Apple Podcasts and wherever you get your podcasts.

So the time has come for us to finally determine the question we've all been waiting for. Who exactly is buried in Grant's tomb? That and what is the most savage torture device in humanity's history? Well, listen and you shall find out.
Just as the nightmares from the last show are grinding to a torturous halt, here comes part II like a Brazen Bull hopped up on bath salts. On today's show, we dig our teeth into the torture device brackets and narrow down the field getting closure to the most badass torture device in history. We also talk about some introspective stuff while sampling some solid brews from Ommegang Brewery. Enjoy.
How often are you sitting on your porch watching the birds fly by when you're supposed to be doing laundry, finishing up some work or turning off the smoldering-hot iron in your kid's playroom thinking, I sure wish I could clone myself? That way I could do all that while also sitting here doing nuttin'. Never?
Okay, let me ask you this - what about the morality behind cloning, or perhaps maybe in today's world - extension of life? I mean, are people who were "basically a shit anyway" entitled to an extension of life? Or should these scientific advances go only to those that contribute to the world- make it a better place? We all think of genetically modifying the human species as a help for the better, but is it?
Amie, who we all know and love sits down with Heidi (Ep. 25 UFOs - Rinya, alien in skit) and discusses the ethics, morality, legality, and politics behind it all. In addition, they break down where we are with the scientific technology in the year 2019. Meanwhile, Jason and Steve do whatever it is Jason and Steve do when they've been shunned from their studios - watch The Notebook and practice making out with their pillows just to give a hint of one thing they do. Scrapbooking is another.
On today’s show we sit down to analyze a chemical with roots dating back to early man that can grab ahold of you and often never let go. A chemical which can trigger decision-making well outside of normal, sometimes waging wars, dividing families, and most alarming - causing euphoric distractions, leading to one’s fantasy football team going in the toilet. So what is this exactly? Guess you’ll just have to listen to find out.
An under-the-weather Steve grabs the mic and asks you all to be his Valentine in his far-from-sexy, two-pack-a-day-smoking, 73-year-old Denny’s waitress voice. The always knowledgeable, insightful and lovely Amie Bramell joins him as he embarks on his first solo show.

Throughout history, dating back thousands of years humans lived in small groups called tribes. Each person had a designated role and was expected to sacrifice for the greater good of the group. If they didn’t, people may have died or suffered. The concept of tribe is so deep-rooted in the human DNA that soldiers would prefer to return to war with their fellow comrades instead of being members of the very society they longed for when they were fighting. It’s the reason that settlers who were captured by natives in the settling of our country snuck back to live with the natives once they were rescued. Could our lack of tribe in our modern world be the cause of the breakdown of our society? Depression, alcohol use, drug abuse, mass shootings, a breakdown of family, lack of community, a void of purpose- are at all-time highs. Truth is, there’s something is missing from our lives, we may just not realize what. What’s missing is our tribe.
Join us for a tantalizingly fun episode where we need a whopping four beer reviews (Knee Deep, Sierra Nevada, and more) to explore how to arrive at humanity’s collective happiness, which is “just say Hi; hey don’t be an a-hole,” by the way. Jevon, George, and Nick guest with skit help from the amazing Amie. Sir Matthew regales us with a trip deep into South Central’s heartland. (28min)
An accent is a completely normal part of humanity’s linguistics. We go about our day-to-day never thinking about how we sound. Well, imagine going to sleep with the accent you have now only to wake up with an entirely different one. Perhaps one from the other side of the globe from a country you’ve never visited or a dialect and vernacular you’ve never studied. It’s happened to hundreds of people and on today’s show, we’re going to examine why. Is it the result of a brain short-circuiting or could it be from something deeper? Something inexplicable? Something buried deep in humanity’s collective, created code? New guest Jason Reedy joins us to tackle this phenomena called Foreign Accent Syndrome. We also speak to a person who has personally experienced it and shares her story.
Anti-aging expert, biogenetic thought leader, and overall super human Ira Pastor is back to regale us with more tips on living forever. Stay a little while as we chat health advancements, biology and technology, then stay even longer on good ole’ planet earth equipped with your newfound immortal knowledge. In 2243 you’ll thank us. You’re welcome in advance.

The Virtual Reality craze is taking off. VR is no longer just about teleporting yourself inside a video game to battle ferocious monsters and diabolic villains. In the not-so-distant future you might be able to take vacations, walk a day inside someone else’s shoes, viewing the world as they world, or share an intimate experience as you would in person – all from the comfort of your own home. Literally everything you do today could ultimately be inside a VR experience. But…what does that mean for humanity as people get more used to experiencing the world from their VR chair in their basement? What happens to the tangible world as we know it? Real human connections? Reproduction? Basic human needs? Life itself? Could this be the beginning of the end?
Debut appearance from field correspondent Sir Matthew. Beer review from Ely Alexander and Oisin O’Reilly. Amie stops by.
At the same moment on October 14th, one out of every fifty people on Earth vanished. Shockingly plucked by death’s talons, all depart without a trace. This is the premise of HBO’s fictional hit show, “The Leftovers” which recently finished its third and final season. Those remaining were left to ponder the inexplicability of their own mortality and navigate through a world filled with loss and confusion. On this episode, Grognostics asks the question - what if this happened in real life? What would be the plausible causes? Would it be geological, spiritual, multi-dimensional or induced by a lone ravenous, prognosticating, Mesozoic reptile? And most importantly, how would the size of Christopher Columbus’s manhood play a part? Luciano Muselli, Jevon Mattiassi, Ely Alexander, and Karen Starr guest to examine how and why 2% of the world’s population would meet their demise. Sobering, yes, but as usual there’s plenty of humor peppered in along the way.
First came Godfather II. Alien(s). Terminator 2. All were blockbuster sequels that crushed their predecessor. Today, another breaches the paranormal surface – Mandela Effect Part II. The producer and Amie are back for a sequel long-awaited by no one that dissects the validity of the entire concept itself. Could it simply be a case of Miss Remembering? (Beauty pageant winner from a Mandela Effect- created state west of Oregon called Remembering Island). Was it a concept fabricated by nerds who couldn’t answer pop culture questions? Did Henhouse IPA’s can logo have something to do with it? Grab a cold beer, make out with a deer, and go on a magical journey into alternative realities that may or may not be just outside your reach. Then, you can be the judge.

How much do you really know about the reality you live in? Can you be certain this reality is the same one you grew up in? The one you were in last month? Yesterday? On this episode, the lads examine a reality where the Producer didn’t get enough hugs when he was little, dive deep into the life of a 1952 Berlin men’s slalom captain who knew the importance of maintaining his vital juices... oh, and discover that the reality we live in is changing ever-so-slightly every day. No biggie. With each nuance slipping clandestinely past our lucid minds, we’re destined to wake up one day and realize our world is not as we remember. That day happens to be today.
The Producer and Amie guest star on this hysterical episode.

The red pill, the blue pill, and pints of frosty beer - which will you choose?
How much do you think you know about your own species? Can you prove you're not a sequence of binary 1s and 0s programmed by some futuristic teenager in his mom's basement up in the clouds? One well-respected theorist has determined that "without question" the human race is a simulation. On this episode your favorite lads, well-respected by no one discuss the idea that the truth of your existence is actually way beyond your wildest imagination.
